Pride NW Photo Booth

Ahh… Festival season is upon us! This past weekend, our Portland, OR team at Limelight Photo Booth, headed out to Pride NW at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. It was a little cold, and a little rainy, but that didn’t stop us from having a great time with the CDC and their campaign for HIV testing awareness, Share Reasons. For two days we braved the weather, danced with friends, ate Voodoo Doughnuts, and spread the word about taking charge of your health.

The Share Reasons campaign is a new project inciting awareness for the need of HIV testing in different communities. Our photo booth was recruited as part of a project allowing attendees of the festival to share their personal reasons for getting tested.

Our booth was positioned against a white backdrop, where guests held a sign with their reason. The overlay simply asked “What’s your reason for getting tested?” Each guest got a print of their photo booth session. Guests were able to share their images with their friends via our social media station, Pixposure. With the hashtag #sharereasons all images are brought together, and you can see the great community of people who care about their health, their families, and their communities.

We are very happy to have been a part of Portland Pride and to have been a part of such a wonderful campaign for awareness.

If you are in Portland next year during Pride Week, be sure to check out Tom McCall Waterfront Park for the festival with lots of fun vendors, great live music, and even a little burlesque. The parade is on Sunday at the end of the week and ends at the park so you can enjoy all of the excitement!
